Wars

Revenge beyond the grave

We are probably watching a (practically) perfect plan devised by the late Qassem Soleimani and (late) Seyyed Ali Khamenei to play out.

On Wednesday, I noted:

Israel has been constantly hitting Lebanon since Sunday. Like I noted on Monday, several ministers of the cabinet of Prime Minister Netanyahu have stated that the MoU does not bind them. Moreover, PM Netanyahu has added that the IDF would not withdraw from Lebanon and that Israel does not consider itself bound by the clause.

After that, four things have happened. First, Iran and the U.S. signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to end the war (also in Farsi). U.S. President Donald Trump admitted that they needed to sign it (and open the Strait of Hormuz) to avert an “economic depression.” Israel hit Lebanon (again), and the U.S. Vice President James Vance issued a stark warning to Israel, noting that “If I were in the cabinet of the Israeli government, I might not be attacking the only powerful ally that I have left.”

We are seeing rather unprecedented developments occurring in the history of the Middle East since the creation of Israel (May 1948). Especially the “tutoring” of Israel by VP Vance is almost unheard-off.

But it is not just Israel breaching the MoU. In Iran, dissatisfaction with it is growing rapidly. It has emerged that Mojtaba Khamenei disapproves of it, which means that, unsurprisingly, the IRGC (+ Iranian army) also disapproves of it.

Before we go there, I’d like to remind you that my summer offer ends today, at midnight (Helsinki time). Therefore, you have a few hours left to claim it.
