in Europe right around the 2 to 3pm time frame, Secretary of State Blinken, stated the Ukraine would become a member of NATO as soon as July maybe.

“Ukraine will become a member of NATO. Our purpose at the summit is to help build a bridge to that membership

they are directly and obviously intentionately provoking Russia into a larger war, as that was the main reason for start of tragic Ukrainian war...

I think that ordinary people would simply need to start to raise their voices. Comment on social media and write to politicians. It works better than many understand.

From where I sit in the U.S., I don't think hardly anybody has any clue that Ukraine is nearing collapse or that so many have died. But I also don't see how NATO is going to escalate this war without U.S. support, and I just don't see the will here for "boots on the ground" escalation. We're near the end of throwing money at it. And thus to me, we're near another humiliating disaster similar to the withdrawal in Afghanistan. I suspect European leaders are sensing this and trying to scare Putin into not going past just taking Ukraine. Will he call their bluff and go further? I think it depends on who wins the election here in November. If Biden (or the Democrats win), I think he will go further, bit by bit and see what our response is.

Your last paragraph sounds like something from Dr. Strangelove. The future is bleak, but have a great weekend. I know what you mean, but those two sentiments just don't go together.
